DIVORCE DECREE

VERBAL SEPARATION EFFECT OF AGREEMENT A decree nisi has been granted by Mr. Justice Callan in the Supreme Court to Edna Marion Goudie (Mr. Terry) against Torn Goudie on the ground of a verbal agreement to separate. When the case came originally beforo His Honor last July he said the parties seemed to have been looking forward to the possibility of their married life being resumed when circumstances permitted, and he reserved the matter for further discussion. In granting the decree after considering a memorandum from Mr. Terry, His Honor said it appeared that the parties had finally released each other from the obligation to live together, and although the possibility of resumption of life together was recognised, neither had thereafter any right to force a resumption. The petitioner was therefore entitled to her decree.
