WELLINGTON STATION ADDITIONS TO BE MADE £60,000 CONTRACT LET [BY TELEGRAFH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday To meet pressing demands for additional accommodation at the Wellington railway station Cabinet some time ago agreed to the required improvements being carried out, said the Minister of Railways, tho Hon. D. G. Sullivan, to-day. Plans were approved, and tenders called for and the lower of tho two tenders submitted —that of the Fletcher Construction Company, Limited, had now been accepted. The contract price was in the vicinity of £60,000. The additions comprised extension of the present cafeteria, tho enlargement of kitchen facilities and improvements to provide for the increased staff which tho growth of business required.
