i [INCIDENTS AT KATIKATI [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WAIHI, Friday Thefts from motor-vehicles at Katikati on the night of Thursday, November 17, resulted in the appearance of two young married raon, Richard Robert Gardiner, aged 28, and Thomas Rowan, aged 24, in the Waihi Magistrate's Court yesterday. Gardiner admitted stealing a battery worth £3, tho property of Whitiora Bryne, from the floor of a lorry, and was fined £o with 5s costs. A similar penalty was imposed on Rowan for the theft of a carburettor from a motorcar belonging to Kenneth Laing.
