MARRIED WOMEN IN JOBS

Sir, —If the single women who are anxious for jobs are willing to accept positions in the lino of cooking, cleaning and general housekeeping, they will have no lack of opportunity. In a fairsized country town, I am constantly approached * for housekeepers, com-panion-helps for invalid or overworked mothers, and for extra help in guest houses for the coming Christmas season. The reason married women are "holding down jobs" is probably because they are trained and efficient workers, while those who are still raising the "out-of-work" cry are in search of tho kind of work that is known as a cuff-and-collar job. The all-round worker need not be a day out of employment if she applies in the right quarter. Martha.
