RED CROSS WORK

' COMMITTEES FORMED RELIEF AND PUBLIC HEALTH The formation of sub-committees to deal with relief, public health and comforts was decided upon at a meeting of the committee of the Auckland centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society. Members are invited to serve on the sub-committees.

The secretary, Mr. A. A. Harker, reported that there had been a large increase in membership during the past month. Reports _ from sub-centres showed that several new classes had recentlv been formed.

It was reported that Senor Quiros y Quiros, Consul for Panama, had been appointed by tho Red Cross Society of Costa Rica to act as its delegate on the Auckland committee of the New Zealand organisation. • Canon R. G. Coats and Mr. Harker were appointed as Red Cross representatives on the committee of the Great War Funds Administrative Committee of the Order of St. John and the New Zealand Red Cross Society. Mr. 11. W. Locke was appointed auditor.
