Nov. 24 - c llf *is officially stated that the Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, visited the 2p[uke and Duchess of Windsor while in Paris. The call was in response to the Dliltts's wish.
'f f str. Chamberlain was accompanied by. Foreign Secretary, Viscount Halifax, when he saw the Duke of Windsor at the Hotel Meurice. The talk lasted 25 minutes. Renter's states that the Duchess was present. - The Duke's entourage regard the meeting as a prelude to the Duke of Windsor's early return. It is believed that he is insistent that the E|uchess rank, as Her Royal Highness.
