SOCIAL EVENING

DANCING AND CARDS A dance and card evening was held recently by the staff and friends of the Waikeria Institution. The concert hall was gaily decorated with streamers in colours of gold and green. The prizes "for cards were won by Airs. J. Kennedy and Air. A. A. Doug las: the Monte Carlo by Miss 1. Casey ami Mr. Fowler; and a statuette dance by Miss K. Dunlop and Mr. D. PriceAirs. D. Dunlop, wife of the superintendent, was presented with a bouquet by Miss Lesley Turner. Airs. A. A. Douglas also received a bouquet. Air. Dunlop thanked all those responsible for a most enjoyable evening. Among those present were: —Mrs. D. Dunlop, wearing black shimmer satin; Mrs. L. G. Turner, in faun and briar rose lace; Mrs. A. A.
