LABOUR'S SCHEME

OVERTHROW GOVERNMENT UNITED FRONT MOOTED , CONFERENCE IN LONDON LONDON, Nov. 22 The heads of the Labour Party and the Co-operative movement will meet privately in London to-morrow to discuss a campaign to overthrow the Government. The fact that the agenda does not exclude the consideration of a policy for this purpose is one factor which has given rise to teports of plans for the formation of a "National Opposition." This would be a "united front" of Liberals and Labour with some Conservative dissidents and Independents, not only for the defeat of Mr. Chamberlain, but to prepare an alternative Government. Official Labour sources, however, deny that overtures have come from other quarters aiming at the defeat of the Government, and assert that the present intention of the Labour Party is to fight the next general election as the only alternative Government.
