GOLF COURSES
NEW ZEALAND AND ENGLISH Sir Cyril Ward. who. with Lady Ward and Miss Theresa to Christchurch this week, after a world tour lasting seven months, said he was convinced that the best New Zealand golf courses were riaht up to (lie full English standard. Although much of his time in England was devoted to busi ness, he had found time to have a game of golf at St. Andrews. Gleneagles, and Hayling Island Golf Club, near Plymouth. Hayling Island, he said, was one of the finest seaside courses he had ever seeji. The English coast courses hail impressed him. they being all heavily bunkered, with hardly any trees.
