Chief among her many activities is hor interest in the women's rural institute movement. She has also been a member of the Dalbeattie District Council for three years, and, although she is the only woman acting in this capacity in Kirkcudbright, she said there were very many occupying similar positions in other parts of England. An endeavour to arouse interest in the old Scottish art of hand spinning is beiug made by Lady McCulloch, who said that although this was now useless commercially, it was a very pleasant hobby.
