ARBITRATION SYSTEM
FEDERATION OF LABOUR DISCUSSION AT WELLINGTON A conference called by the New Zealand Federation of Labour is to be held at Wellington to-morrow to deal particularly with questions relating to the making and administration of awards. Three Auckland representatives of the local district council will leave for "Wellington to-day. It is understood that the conference will be fully representative of district councils throughout the Dominion, and that 24 delegates will attend. They will discuss the •machinery of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act in its various applications, with some references to tho,working of tho Arbitration Court. If the delegates are able to reach finality upon phases which have for some weeks been under discussion by individual unions, the conference may make recommendations for the consideration of the Government.
