Mr. E. Anderson returned by train from Wellington on Saturday. Sir Benjamin Fuller left for the South by the limited express last night. Mr. G. P. Finlay was a passenger from Wellington by the limited express on Saturday. Mr. M. J. Galvin, Inspector of Reserves for the North Island, arrived from Wellington by air on Saturday. Mr. R. H. Allen, secretary of Amalgamated Theatres, Limited, arrived from the South by train on Saturday. Captain M. T. Holm, manager of the Auckland Waterside Labour Bureau, returned from Wellington by train on Saturday. Mr. F. J. Hoddinott, transportation superintendent of the Railway Department. arrived by train from "New Plymouth on Saturday, The Hon, W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, returned to Wellington on Saturday evening, after spending two days in the Waikato. Mr. W. Wallace left by the limited express laut night for Wellington to attend a meeting of the Nurses and Midwives' Registration Board. Mr. F. 0. 0. Griffiths, supervisor at the Pukekohe Post Office during the past five years, has "been appointed postmaster at Manaia, Taranaki. Mr. Hugh Thomson, chairman of the Auckland Importers' Association, left by train for Wellington last night to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Importers' Federation, of which he is vice-president. The Rev. Solomon Katz, Rabbi of Wellington, will leave Auckland by the Awatea to-morrow for Sydney on his was to London and Paris. He will meet Mrs. Katzi and his eldest son in Paris and, when returning by way of the United States, will meet his youngest son in New York. He expects to be away from New Zealand about four months.
