Addresses by four speakers on widely varving topics were given at a meeting of the New Women's Club on Friday afternoon The president, Mrs. W. B. Dadow presided" The first address entitled, "Reminiscences of Early Auckland," was given bj; Mrs. L. Howden, who traced the city's history from very early days. "Meals Through the Ages was the title of Mrs. M. Stewart s address while the development of the art ol electrical was traced by Mrs. \V V Pace in her talk, lhe final speaker was Mrs. Ruby Watson who gave an address on "The Power of the Press " The meeting concluded with afternoon tea served by the hostesses, Miss Hamilton and Miss McElwain.
