GARDEN PARTY

FUNCTION AT OTOROHANGA There was an attendance of close on 300 people at the garden party held at the Otorohanga Bowling Club greens and the adjoining croquet lawns on Saturday afternoon. The president, Mr. E. L. Strawbridge, welcomed the visitors, among whom were Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P. for Waitoino, and Mrs. Broadfoot. A variety of competitions was held and bowls was played between rinks of visitors and local players. The money raised will augment the funds of tho bowling and croquet clubs, the membership of which is steadily increasing.
