KING'S COLLEGE
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 1939 RESULTS OF EXAMINATIONS The successful candidates in examinations for scholarships at King's Collego for 1939 have been announced by the St. John's College Trust Board. A total of 41 candidates sat for the examinations, which were conducted in nine centres on October 26. In the following results the 'school at which tho scholarship winner received his primary education is given in parentheses:—
Sir John Logan Campbell Scholarship.—Colin Kelston Putt, 137 St. Heliers Bay Road (St. Heliers Bay). Marion Bruce Memorial Scholarship. —Colin Hugh McChesney, 26 Aratonga Avenue, Auckland (Normal, Mount Eden). Rathbone Scholarship.—Peter Frederick Robinson, 226 Clifford Street, Gisborne (Gisborne Central). Entrance Scholarship for Boys under 13 at January 1, 1939.—Gordon Alfred Nicholls, Pukekawa (Pulcekawa). Entrance Scholarship for Bovs under 14 at January 1, 1939. —Owen Tabuteau Foster, 30 Seaview Road, Remuera (King's School). Preparatory Schools Entrance Scholarship.—John Brewis Swales, 2 Domain Drive, Hamilton (St. Peter's, Cambridge). , King's School Entrance Scholarships. —David Allan Spence, 12 Aldred Road, Remuera (Remuera and King's School), ® and .Richard Halstead Marryatt, 94A Mountain Road, Epsom (Nihotupu and King's School). Southwell School Entrance Scholarship.—Nicholas James Irwin Hunt, Te Kuiti (Southwell School, Hamilton).
