, Europe's non-playing manager, Signor Vittorici Pozzi. was overcomo by emotion whem the game against Holland reached an exciting stage. He rushed on fen the field and ran in and out among bhe players. He shouted, shrieked and gesticulated in attempting to get understanding among liis men, most of whom did not understand Italian.
Signor Pomzi had been on the field for five minutes when Holland scored. After that Ho remained on the sidelines, shouting tactical •„ instructions which were relayed in seven languages by interpreters. Most of the players were unable to converse with their team-mates. They played different styles, which added to the conftitiion.
Signor Pciazi later explained that every player was shouting in a different language. "[ went out to interpret," he said. Europe w<!n by 2 goals to 1.
