k WIMBLEDON GIRL STAR MISS YORKE'S AMBITION LONDON, Oct. 26 ' It is revealed that Miss Billie Yorke, the English girl who, with Mme. Mathieu, France, won the doubles title at Wimbledon last year, is selling stockings at a, West End chain store. Miss Yorke hopes vo become staff manager in a suburban chain store, says the Daily Mail, a post 'which demands experience in all departments, including serving in the canteen, where the staff lunches for 6d. Miss Yorke says:,"l have had any fun and seen the world. It is time I began real work, although it means fewer cocktail parties. 1 may never play in championship tennis again."
