NEW CONVOY SHIPS
DECISION OF BRITAIN LESSONS OF RECENT CFtJSIS ANTI-AIRCRAFT ARMAMENT v LONDON, Oct. 20 As an outcome of the recent European crisis, says the Daily Telegraph, the building or remodelling of ships intended for convoy work will be accelerated and extended. New escprt vessels armed with eight or more 4-inch guns capable oit high or low angle fire will be supplemented bv more than 12 old cruisers, which will be rebuilt into anti-aircraft vessels. Thirty or forty old destroyers will be converted into anti-submarine units and rearmed with new 4-inch and 4.5-inch guns.
