Miss' V. B. Nation will leave for Wellington to-night to attend a Victoria League conference.

Miss Jessica Baxter, of Heme Bay Road, left last night to spend a holiday in Wellington and Christchurclx.

Mrs. A. L. Spencer arrived at Auckland by the Aorangi yesterday from Sydney and is at the Esplanade Hotel.

Mrs. L. J. Keys, Benbow Street, St. Heliers, returned to Auckland by the Aorangi yesterday from an overseas visit.

Mrs. E. Norman (Christchurch), Mrs. R. White (Kketahuna) and Miss D. Ducane (London) are at the Central Hotel.

Mrs. Philip Lightbourne, Shelly Beach Road, Heme Bay, will leave tomorrow on a brief visit to Tauranga and Rotorua.

Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Stubbs, of Auckland, who have been living in Sydney, returned to New Zealand by the Aorangi yesterday.

Mrs. A. Spencer, of Stanley Bay, returned yesterday by the Aorangi, after a six months' holiday in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Mrs. N. R. Alexander, of Brighton Hall, who has been motoring in the Rotorua and Taupo districts, has returned to Auckland.

Mrs. Philip Bonham, Domain Drive, Hamilton, left by air on Saturday with her small daughter to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blackie, of Dunedin.

Mrs. S. P. Light (Southern Rhodesia), Mrs. .1. L. Hidings (Melbourne), Mrs. E. Roper. Miss Roper (Dargavillo) and Miss Eunice Morrison (lnvercargill) are at the Station Hotel.

Mrs. V. A. Bailey, of Sydney, formerly Miss Joyce Hewitt, of Auckland, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hewitt, of Parnell. She is accompanied bv her little daughter, Helen Hypatia.

An address was given by Mrs. Hugh Kasper to members of the Kom-marama-St. Heliers branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union last week. A bring-and-buy sale for the benefit of funds was well patronised. Solos were contributed by Mrs. \\ ar~ burton. /

After visiting Mrs. A. R. Stone at Mount Albert, Miss Doreen Hurworth, of Kensington, Sydney, and Miss N, Pausina, of Kaikohe, spent the weekend at Brent's, Rotorua. They left yestevdav for Napier en route for Wellington. In the latter city they will he the guests of Mrs. A, M. MacKenzie at Lvall Bay. Miss Hurworth will leave on her return to Sydney by the Awatea on November 14.
