AUCKLAND CITY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS Championship shooting was continued by tho Auckland City Club oyer the long ranges last Saturday, this being the first shoot in the second trophy series. A high wind made conditions difficult, especially at 900 yards, where several promising aggregates were spoiled. R. C. Russell scored a possible at 800 yards, breaking on his 15th shot. , : The feature of the day was the performance of tho club veteran, A. J. P.ieteirson, who shot brilliantly for 96. CLEVEDON DEFENCE CLUB The Clevedon Defence Rifle Club concluded its shoot for its No. 1 trophy on Saturday. There was a strong westerly wind blowing across the range, but, being fairly steady, it caused little concern to the marksmen. The No. 1 trophy was won by I. Renall, the spoon winners being F.
