Oct. 17 The retiring Lord Mayor of London, Sir Harry Twyford, at a dinner this week, related a story of a little East End Jewish tailor who called on him and said that all he could offer the Czechoslovak relief fund was his dead wife's wedding ring, which he wished to sell on behalf of the fund, in spite of efforts to dissuade him from doing so, he left the ring on the table.
