TE KUITI QUOTATIONS LARGE YARDING OF BULLS TOP PRICE OF 49 GUINEAS Dalgety and Company, Limited, in conjunction with Abraham and Williams, Limited, ropryts having held the annual sale of beef breed bulls at To Kuiti. A larger number of hulls were ottered this season and the entry, which is con fined wholly to bulls bred in tbe King Country, came forward in splendid order.

The quality whs apa in exceptionally good and on tho average the cattle were a much better lot than have been yarded at previous fixtures. Bidding throughout the sale was spasmodic. Prices were well helow those of last year, but even so a satisfactory sale resulted, most lots being sold under the hammer. The yarding comprised 01 head of registered two-year-old Polled - Angus bulls and one yearling Polled Angus bull. Buyers were present in good numbers from as far north as Okaihau and from the Taumarnnui and Kaitieke districts. Top price for the day was obtained by Mr. I{. Hill, of Piopio, for an exceptionally good bull, which was sold at 'lOgns. Bulls on account of Mr. G. L. Purdy, of Mahoenui, realised up to 47 guineas, this latter beinsr purchased by the Native Department. Mr. K. E. Fisher, of Temapara, sold bulls up to 44 guineas. The entry on account of Mr. W. W. Johnstone, of Pyketutu. sold up to 45 guineas. Best quality bulls realised 3.5 to 41) guineas; good sorts, 20 to 33 guineas; others, 18 to 5 guineas.

ABERDEEN ANGUS BULLS [IIV TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT ] TAUMARUNUI, Monday Dalgety and Company, Limited, reports having conducted the annual sale of Lesmoyle two-year-old Aberdeen Angus bulls on account of Mr. J. Hannan, Matiere. The whole offering was »well grown and came forward in splendid condition. Stud bulls sold up to "ip/jgns for a nice bull bought by Mr. K. T. Fullerton Smith, Tuhua. The offering realised the satisfactory -average of .'M'/igns. Grade bulls made to 17gns for an outstanding animal bought by G. Gardner and Sons, Oio, and the whole offering averaged 'J'JVigns. There were two outside buyers present and the bulk of the offering stayed in the Matiere nnd Ohura districts.

THE ROYAL SHOW LARGE NUMBER OF ENTRIES DOMINION JUMPING EVENT [from our own HAMILTON, Monday Record entries for any Waikato show have been received for the loth New Zealand Royal Show, which is' to commence at tho Claudelands Showgrounds on Thursday. More than 1000 horses aro to bo exhibited, J and 000 cattle will be in the ring. Entries in the sheep competitions total SO(J, and 310 pigs and 2SO poultry- have been entered. In the don section of 'the show there will be 700 animals, representing 43 breeds. Extending over the three days of the Royal Show the Dominion Jumping Competition will be one of the chief riding events, and is arousing widespread interest in Hamilton. The event is lor £127 prize-money and the heats are to be contested on Thursday and Friday, the final being held on Saturday. Forty-four entries have been received, this being a record for the competition. The total value of the trophies to be won at the show is £2400, the most valuable of the collection being a challenge shield, valued at £2OO, to be awarded to the competitor who gains the most, points in the livestock section.
