COLD WITH SOME FROBT* ■ •$ The weather report and forecast for New Zealand issued by the Government meteorologist last evening were as fol. lows: —An anti-cvclone of moderate in. tensity is advancing on to the Dominion but is being followed bv an extensive depression which at present covers New South Wales. The forecast is for moderate south-westerly wind# gradually changing to north-westerly or northerly. Seas slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate south* westerly winds, changing soon to west or north-west in the northern portion and later in the southern; seas moderate., The weather i« likely to be showery at first along the ccast between Cook Strait and East Cape, but improving. The maximum temperature was 50 degrees. The barometer at 5 p.m. registered 30.09 in. Dunedin. —The day was fine and mild, although temperatures were cold in the morning, and there was practically no wind. The maximum temperature was oodeg.
