AIR FORCE TRAINING
TERRITORIAL SQUADRON LIVE BOMB PRACTICE EXTENSIVE ACTIVITY PLANNED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] BLENHEIM, Friday Blenheim is shortly to be the centre of aerial activity on quite a large scale by the Wellington territorial squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, which is going into camp here for two weeks from November 16. The squadron is commanded by Squadron-Leader E. A. Gibson,and about 100 officers and men will be under canvas in * paddock just to the west of the Marlborough Aero Club's hangars at the aerodrome, alongside the boundary of the flying field. The aircraft to be used will include six Blackburn Baffin torpedo bomber* and the training to be done will include bombing and machine-gun practice from the air. This will be canw out with live bombs and ammunition oi! the dry bed of Lake Grassmere, where targets afre to be constructed for the purpose.
