FROST IN WAIKATO
4.5 DEGREES RECORDED LIGHT RAIN AT HAMILTON MEAGRE TOTAL FOR MONTH [by TELEGBAPH —OWN" COKKKSPONDKNt] HAMILTON, Friday Cold temperatures were experienced in the Waikato this morning and 4.5 degrees of frost were recorded at Ruakura. Freezing point was reached in Hamilton The weather was fine during the day, but a welcome shower of rain fell early this evening. The fall, however, was light and was of short duration . Heavy, warm rain is greatly needed to stimulate pasture growth throughout the district. So far this month only 0.53 in. of rain has fallen, the average rainfall for Hamilton in October being 4.52 in.
