Watt, to the sito of the proposed permanent health camp at Wainui Beach, on a blo'ck of two acres and a-lialf given by Miss W. F. Lysnar, and the possibility of establishing a permanent institution on the Park Domain, were explained to the Poverty Bay and East Coast executive of tho Health Camps Federation. Objections to tho Wainui sito, which had at first boon favoured, had been raised by medical officers, said tho chairman, Mr. H. Holmes. Nurses would bo worried about children playing on the seashore, as tho beach was dangerous and there was neither a water supply nor electricity available. Tho committee was considering a sito on tho Park Domain, which possessed town amenities and was not far from the homes of medical officers. Tho building planned would accommodate 30 to 35 children, instead of 20 as at present. Dr. Watt favoured tho Park Domain sito in preference to Wainui, placing moro emphasis on health, training, diet and routino than on seasido location.
