GROWING MEMBERSHIP
; BRITISH .TRADES UNIONS British Wireless RUGBY. Oct. 20 The Ministry of Labour lias issued a return of the membership of trades iinions at the close of 1937. It puts the total for Britain and Northern Ireland at 5,851,000, showing an increase of 546,000, or nearly 10 per cent, on the membership at the end of 1936. The increase in membership is the largest recorded for any year since 1919.
