NEW ZEALAND COMPANY SURVEY OF EAST COAST AREAS [BY TELEGRAPII —OWN CORRESPONDENT] NEW PLYMOUTH, Saturday Six of eight men employed by the New Zealand Petroleum Company, Limited, in its geological survey of Taranaki, have been transferred to the East Coast field. Mr. A. Weymouth, who has been in charge of operations in the Taranaki area, will also go to the East Coast. Four crews, each consisting of a geologist and a surveyor, have been engaged in the geological survey and only one crew will be left in*Taranaki. Geophysical investigation being conducted by Mr. A. V. Acheson, of Texas, and two surveyors, will be continued, but the main geophysical survey will follow the completion of the geological survey. The object of transferring the men is to speed up completion of the East Coast survey, and when that work has been completed the men will return to Taranaki. Mr. Weymouth will leave for Gisborne on Monday and will take with him three geologists, Messrs. J. M. Doreen, B. Stinnenr, W. E. Fisher and their surveyors. The other geologist, Dr. D. Bossard, and his surveyor will remain in the Oliura district.
