LUCKY MOTORIST

HE WAS "TICKED OFF" A young motorist in England's West Country was "arrested" late one night and taken to the police station with a view to prosecution for an alleged driving offence. "What is your age?" was one of the questions the motorist was asked. "Twentv-two," replied the white-faced young mail. He was put through various tests, and about ten minutes later ho was again asked his age. "Twenty-three," replied the motorist. "You said twenty-two just now," put in the wide-awake sergeant, watching points. "I know," replied the young man. "But if your clock is right, it is past midnight, and it happens to be my birthday."

With a smile the sergeant wished him "Many happy returns." And there was no prosecution.
