OPIUM SMOKERS RAIDED
FOUR CHINESE FINED £79 [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday Following a police raid on barricaded opium smoking premises in Haining Street last night, throe Chinese were each fined C2O, and another defendant £ls. with costs, iti default two months' imprisonment with hard labour. Seven days were allowed defendants in which to pay their fines.
