CASE OF MR. STRACHEY • NEW YORK. Oct. 13 The Britisli author and lecturer, Mr. John Strachey, who has been barred from landing in America, still deniei that he is a Communist. The New York Times said in an editorial that the whole affair was puzzling thousands of Americans. "We exclude a parlour radical like Mr. Strachey, while we keep a working radical, who really means business, like the Australian-born Harry Bridges." It added that action against Mr. Strachey ought to await a Supreme Court decision regarding Communism the same as for Bridges.
