ORPHANAGE WORK
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH The annual meeting of the Auckland Presbyterian Orphanages and Social Service Association was held last night.' In the absence of the chairman of th» association, the Rev. G. Budd, th«fc Rev. Mac Donald Aspland presided. ;i Presenting the financial report treasurer, Mr. H. W. Shove, said an increase in expenditure had taken placein the past year, due to higher cost* and larger number's of children in the homes. He appealed for increased support for the association. The business: of the meeting was interspersed with items by children of the Leslie Horn© and the Onehnnga Boys' Home. Re» ports on social work done in public! institutions during the year were given bv Mr. M. J. Gordon, the Re\V G. W. felair and Mr. A. G. Haydon. *
