REDUCTION OF QRANTB CALL TO TAKAPUNA The monthly meeting of the Auck- :* land Presbytery last night was pre-, sided over by the moderator, the Rev. R. Ferguson Fish. In presenting the church extension committee's proposals ,* for the annual grants to aided charges Mr. Fish Baid there was a large deficit of at least £7OOO in the funds of the ;■ missions committee of the church and -> his committee had had to face a reduction of grants to all stations and 7 charges. An average reduotion of about 10 per cent had been made. The curtailed grants were accepted. Two commissioners representing the > session of St. George's Church, Takapuna, appeared in support of a call to the Rev. D. M. Catfanach.
