WILSON OF THE ANTARCTIC

CHEAP EDITION ISSUED Ever since its publication five years ago, George Sonver's "Edward \\ ilson of the Antarctic," has had secure place among the great books inspired by the immortal heroism oi Captain Scott and his companions on the Antarctic continent. It will be welcome news for many that the publishers have now issued a cheaper edition which should serve to spread further the already wide circle of those who, through this record, have learned to know and love a truly great man. in these days when popular taste in reading is often scathingly condemned it is good to know that such a book has had to be reprinted eight times within a few years. In its latest cheaper form it is still a most attractive volume, illustiated with 16 halftones, a choice coloured frontispiece, maps and facsimiles of some pages from Wil son's diary. It is a book to impart vision and courage and lift otic above the sordid and the base in the companionship of one whose nobility gives fresh dignity to the human race.

"Edward Wilson of the Antarctic, Naturalist and Friend," by George Seaver. Cheap edition. (John Murray.)
