ANTI-NAZI CROWDS SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 3 The police to-day fought anti-Nazi demonstrators, who were waving American flags, and arrested 12 of them, including five women. One woman fainted and complained that a policeman had kicked her. The Mayor of San Francisco, Mr. Angelo Rossi; and the German ConsulGeneral, Baron von Killinger, attended a German Day meeting. Baron von Killinger praised President Roosevelt for his intervention in Europe. The audience rose at his suggestion and gave the Nazi salute in honour of Mr. Roosevelt; A message from Montreal says the police there broke up ■everal anti-Nazi demonstrations during the week-end.
