CONFERENCE DELEGATES

RETURNING FROM AUSTRALIA Several overseas returning from the recent British Commonwealth Relations Conference in Australia are through passengers by the Niagara, which arrived from Sydney yesterday, en route to Vancouver. The delegates included Captain V. A. Cazalet, M.P., of Wiltshire, England; the Hon. Hugh A. Wyndham, of London; Mr. U. Hadley, secretary of the Imperial Committee of the lloyaJ Institute of International Affairs, London; Mr. B. J. Biirchell, of Halifax; Mr. J. S. McLean, of Ontario; and Professor L. Corbett, of Montreal, who was recently awarded an honorary degree of doctor of law by Melbourne University. All expressed the opinion that the conference had been a pronounced success in every way, and they were high in their praise of the hospitality extended to the delegates generally. • . . Professors W. H. Brittam, N. A. M. Mackenzie, K.. Taylor and S. H. Soward. members of the Canadian delegation who have been touring New Zealand, will also leave by the [Niagara to-day on their return home.
