A* new 18ft. M class boat is being built bv Mr. C. Brown, of Grevmouth. for his own use. "\lr. M. Close has purchased the C class keel yacht Dorothy from Mr. K. F. Suteliffe. Mr. A. Willetts is building an 18ft. V class boat for Mr. E. W. Sly, and also a. lift. T class boat for M.r. J. O'Siillivan. The well-known 18-footer Mystic, which is now owned by Ml". K. I odd. is to be fitted with a now suit of sails and roller reeling gear by Sails and Covers. Limited. The racing dates for the I!):! 8-:19 yachting season will be allotted to the various clubs at the annual meeting of the Auckland Yacht and Motor-Boat Association, which takes place on Tuesday, October 25. Messrs. Freakes Brothers, formerly part-owners of the IS-tootcr Charmaine, have purchased the champion 18-footer Irina. Mr. 10. Carr, late owner of the Irina, has purchased the 26ft. H class boat Omatere. It, is the intention of Mr. Carr to give Omatere a very complete overhaul before launching her. More than usual interest is being taken in the construction of a new 18footer by Mr. G. Honour, of Parnell for Mr. O. Bracegirdle. This boat is somewhat different to the usual 18ft. type of craft, and her owner hopes to try conclusions with her against the visiting Sydney 18-footer next. February. The 55ft, by l ilt, bridge-deck cruiser for Mr. H. J. Mills, of Auckland, is Hearing completion at the yards of C. Bailey and Sons. The vessel, which has been built of kauri with teak docks, has a lift, forward cabin with sleeping accommodation for four adults. The galley is Oft. hv the width of the vessel. The bridge deck is lift, in length and will lie equipped with three settees. The main cabin is also 1 lit, in length and (lie fittings will be of teak and mahogany. Four full-length hunks will be provided. The power plant consists of two Buda full-Diesel, six-cylin-der engines, each developing 110 horsepower.
