The local postmaster, Mr. Robert Wilson, had drawn £766 from the bank and was returning to his post office in -order to pay out old age pensions, when an armed youth thrust a revolver into his chest and ordered him to drop the bag, Mr. Wilson, who was completely flabbergasted, complied and the youth ran off with the money. He climbed a fence and disappeared. Several waiting pensioners witnessed the hold up, but were too old to assist in the pursuit of the fugitive. Detectives later arrested a youth aged 16. They are now searching for a youth aged about 20.
