THE FIRST ASSISTANTS ANNUAL CONFERENCE HELD A successful conference of Auckland dairy factory first assistants was held at tho Government; grading stores yesterday. Various lines of current arrivals' of this season's dairy produce woro inspected in tho morning, nnd an inspection of tho method of bundling dniry pVodueo nt tho Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company's store was carried out in the afternoon. The following officers were elected nt the annual meeting:—President, Mr. F. W. Pills; honorary secretary, Mr. W. H. MacPhorson honorary auditor, Mr. C. I'). Burrows; executive, Messrs. («. Holden, .1, K. .Tones. C. W. Stack, D. 13. Dawson, It. A. Wilcox. Tho Hardley Challenge Cup and tho Thornton Memorial Cup, contested at the Inst Waik ato Winter Show, were presented to tho winners, Messrs. W. H. MncPherson and J. K. Jones, respectively.
