EARLY MORNING FIRE

ROTORUA SHOP DAMAGED PROMPT ACTION BY BRIGADE [by telegraph —OW>- correspondent] ROTORTfA, Wednesday Fire this morning caused considerable damage to a small wooden building in Tutanekai Street occupied by Mr. J. Staff as a tailqtf&Sshop and for residential purposes. The alarm was received by the brigade shortly after 5 a:m.;- when the flames had a good hold on the back *bf the building. The brigade made a good save by confining the flames to two rooms.

It is probable that fairly heavy loss will be suffered by Mr. Staff, whose materials and shop ; fittings are stated 3 to be uninsured. Insurances on the building are not known.,
