TEACHING CHANGES

ONLY SIX APPOINTMENTS REGRADING AWAITED Only six appointments of teachers were authorised at a meeting of the Auckland Education Board yesterday and it is probable that this number will be further reduced at the next meeting. The reason for the small list is that it has been considered advisable to 'defer advertising positions until the new regulations regarding teachers' salaries and the staffing of schools have been finally approved. Any appointments to vacancies to be advertised in the near future will not take effect until the beginning of next year. Approval was given yesterday of the following appointments:— • Assistant Master. —Mr. M. G. Larritt, Hamilton East. Infant Mistress. —Miss E. M. Butcher, Waitakaruru. Assistant Mistresses. —Miss B. M. Cahill, 8.A., Otahuhu Technical High; Miss F. M. Rickard, Hikurangi; Miss J. C. Sinclair, Tahuna; Miss E. M. Ilawlings, Pukekohe.
