Import quotas of frozen beef into tho United Kingdom arc fixed by tlie International Hcef Conference. In a previous recommendation, tlie allocation for New Zealand was fixed at ]B-l,ooocwt. This figure was reconsidered at a meeting of the conference in London on Tuesday, and it is gratifying that the Dominion's total lias been increased to The amount ..allocated to New Zealand is considerably in excess of the third quarter's " quota of ll'2,ooocwt. The figure also exceeds tliat of 180,000ewt, in' the' second quarter of this year. The Australian quota, however, has been sharply reduced from the previous recommendation of tho conference.
