Wellington.—The day was cloudy and nn'ld, with a light southerly breeze. The maximum temperature was 60.0 degrees. At 3 p.m. the barometer read 30.062 in. Christchurch. —The day was fine with an overcast sky in the morning and scattered cloud in the afternoon. There was a light easterly wind. The maximum temperature was 55.2 degrees. At 5 p.m. the barometer was rising slowly at 30.17 in. Dunedin. —There was bright sunshine early this morning but later passing clouds obscured the sun.
