LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

Mount Albert. —An address on musical appreciation was given to members of tho Mount Albert branch recent!v by Mr. R. Howie of tho Auckland Training College. Mrs. M. M. Turner presided. Mr. Howie expressed tho opinion that not only should children receiv.' training in various forms of art, bur similar studies should also bo taken up by adults. Solo items by Mrs. N. TJttiug and Mrs. Clarke were enjoyed. The thought for the month was given by Mrs.. Whitwell. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. Batkin and Mrs. Miller. Tea was served by Mrs. Mead and her committee.
