NEWMARKET BUILDI^ v -- REOPENING ON MONDA#' MANY NEW FACILITIES Extensive renovations and additions to the Newmarket post office, which have been proceeding during the p as t year, have been completed and the building will be reopened for business on Monday. As the result of the alterations, which cost approximately £9OOO the building has assumed an extremely attractive appearance. Many new facilities have been introduced. Low-level writing desks as well as the ordinary high benches have been provided in tbo public office. Special coloured glass has -been used in the construction of tho telephone boxes/ To give variety to the exterior,, of the building, cream, red and broijle colours have been blended in pleasing contrast. The front is faced with creamy g rey Whangarci marble and in the entrance are columns of warm, red marble. The entrance vestibule has been given- an unusual finish, suggesting mottled Italian marble. Office equipment will be shifted from the temporary premises near Renniera Road during the week-end. No official ceremony will mark the reopening oa Monday.
