CABLE MANAGER

PRESENTATION FROM STAFFS Hie good wishes of the members of the Auckland staff and the staffs of the cable ' stations between the east const of Canada and the west coast of Australia, were conveyed to Mr. J. T. Coote, formerly assistant manager of the Pacific Cable Board in New Zealand, by Mr. C. T. Halsted, manager in New Zealand for Cables and Wireless, Limited, yesterday afternoon. Coote's service," said Mr. Halsted, "was a memorable one, extending for over 3o years, and one of which he may be justly proud." The chief postmaster, Mr. W. G. Cooper, conveyed to Mr. Coote the best wishes of his department. Mr. Halsted presented Mr. Coote with a. silver tea service and a library clock. '
