ASSOCIATION ACTIVITY ANNUAL MEETING HELD NEW OFFICERS ELECTED Another successful year was reviewed at the annual meeting of the Old Thames Girls' Association yesterday afternoon in the Pitt Street Methodist schoolroom. Tin; lile-president, Mrs. Alfred Oldham, presided. , The secretary's report stated that nine meetings-had been held during the year and considerable quantities of clothing and some money had been distributed among needy people. The usual Christinas gift of 10s to each of the soldiers in tho military annexe was much appreciated by tho recipients, while the donation of frno new chairs for child infantile paralysis patients at tho I hamcs Hospital had been tho association's most notable effort of the year. The finances of the. association were reported to bo in a satisfactory state. An address on her work among tho Maoris of Auckland on behalf of the Methodist Church was given by Sister Ivy Jones, and the programme included songs bv Mrs. 1. Massick, Mrs. Wallace Good and Mrs. .1. S. Black, and recitations by Miss J. "NYoils. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. Alfred Oldham; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. E. McMiken; committee, Mrs. Ambury, Mrs. K. Wool ley, Mrs. Black, Mrs. I). Campbell, Mrs. Hirst,' Mrs. Lambourne Mrs. Offer, Mrs. Priest, Mrs. C. Reid, Mrs_ Battson, Mrs. W. Brown, Mrs. BrougE and Miss Shaw*.
