ROAD MAINTENANCE
MONEY FROM MOTOR TAXES^ [fiiom our own correspondent] ' : HAMILTON, Tuesday . A meeting of representatives, of county councils and members of Parliament, convened by the. Matamata County Council, will be held in Hamilton on Monday to discuss a proposal to seek a general subsidy from motor taxation toward the expenditure on roads other than State or main highways, or, faning that, a substantial subsidy toward the cost of modernising county roads, including bituminous surfacing.
