NEW BRITISH TUG
MOST POWERFUL IN EUROPE EQUIPMENT FOR SALVAGE British Wireless RUGBY, Sopt. 8 Wli at is believed to be the most powerful salvage and towage tug in Europe has been added to the British Merchant Marine. This vessel is the Neptunia, of 798 tons, which will be based at Falmouth and is expected to have a range of 9000 miles without refuelling. The vessel has a beam of .'3sft. 7in., and her engines develop 1850 horsepower. She will have a complement of 20 oflicers and men. Her wireless equipment is a noteworthy feature of the Neptunia, which is owned by the Overseas Salvage and Towage Company, London. She will be capable of* towing the heaviest vessels for long distances, and will carry a shipwright and a diver.
