CONVERSION OF CAR
MAN GIVEN PROBATION [FROM OUR OWN COIUIKSrONDENT] HAMILTON, Monday "There are certain circumstances in this case which justify me in granting probation," said Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Police Court to-dnv, when imposing a year s probation on \ ictor Erie Hallberg, aged 29, plumber's assistant. Accused had been remanded for sentence after being convicted on a charge of converting to his own use at Frankton on August 29 a motor-car valued at £2OO. He was ordered to take out a prohibition order.
